First week Deep South

The first week of the season has been tough, both for weather and fish, even so we have had many opportunities and we landed a good number of fish, the windy conditions and high tide made more difficult to fish triggers, but as usual in the Deep South, we managed to catch a good number of them, including geets. Due to these weather conditions and a big amount of bait fish bring into the flats in some of the atolls big schools of gts, giving us very good chances with them, losing some battles and winning others, also catching one in a 9wt on a flexo crab!

On the other hand we have the tailing species as the triggers,it is one of the main species in these flats and atolls. Many of the islands harbor a great population of this species in the flats, being able to see in one day more than 40 fish on the flats between the two main species, titan triggerfish or mustache and the yellow margin triggerfish.

These fish caused us many headaches due to their behavior, but at the end we bring to our hands more than 40 fish, with some crazy stories chasing triggers for hours until find one that decide to destroy our fly completely and also some broken lines into the coral.

All this always accompanied by the best features of our boat, Don Quest, very good cuisine and enjoying the stay in these pristine and untouched waters full of live were for this time we had the opportunity of dive too in some of the best places of Sudan.
