Sudan Deep South 1-14May

We are back from another amazing week in the Deep South of Sudan, we are honored to have with us this incredible group of nine anglers with whom we have fished some of the most pristine areas of the Red Sea. We had incredible weather during the whole trip with a north wind blowing and making the fish very active on the flat.

Trigger fishing has been amazing, all the anglers have had plenty of shot to this elusive and wired fish. We managed to make very good numbers, just in two days we landed seventy triggers with many double up and losing many fish, few anglers landed more than ten triggers each one in a single day and at the end of the week, we had the incredible amount of ninety-eight! We could say that we are facing a new record, well-done guys! We continue having shots to the permit although these refuse our flies. With the high temperatures, there are not many Geets patrolling the flats but we had a couple of perfect shots to free-swimming GeeTs and we landed seven, one angler with three nice GeeTs in one they and a few of them over 85cm. We have been close to making a double up with a plus meter geet sight fishing early morning but this one refuses the fly of the second angler. In this trip, we have focused much more on sight fishing for triggerfish and we didn’t do any teasing on the edge of the reef, just one day with very good results but this trip most of the fish that we landed was sight fishing on the flats of this remote atolls. We can say that we had an amazing trip enjoying the afternoons after fishing on the Don Questo, laughing and sharing the things that happened to us that day and the funny moments we had. It’s a pleasure to have you guys on board and hopefully, we will see you again soon. Tight lines guys!
