The seventh week started with amazing weather, not windy as usual so this time we were able to navigate quietly among the islands and reefs of North Sudan.

This week we had two popping guys that were able to land many species every day even a daily geet.

In the fly fishing area we had three incredible anglers that we enjoyed guiding them, trigger fishing was tricky, they are spawning so they aren’t very aggressive as normal but we managed to land some and two of them very big ones, in this time we lost again a huge one in the new place that we discovered, losing a big silver sweet lips too, a very rare fish on the flats, unfortunately the hook came off.

The full moon with the high water helped to the geets and big fish to enter on the flats, giving us some chances with them, geet won this time but the bohar snapper gave us some chances and we landed one beautiful bohar.

This week we have been on another boat, the elegante, and amazing boat with an amazing crew, the food in this boat it’s amazing and we enjoyed time around the boat even practicing night fishing from the boat with groupers and snappers.

Wild Sea Expedition

We are a small crew of young explorers who have been the first fishing through a number of areas over the Red Sea (Sudan, Eritrea and Djibouti), the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean (Yemen, Somaliland) to discover places outside of the touristic route.
