The final week of our Djibouti Spring season had finally arrived, and after the success of the previous trip, the energy on the boat was high from the very beginning. We came into this trip full of confidence, carrying the momentum of some excellent fishing and hoping to close the season in the best possible way.

From the very first day, things looked completely different. The water was alive, almost like a soup of baitfish, and it instantly lifted our expectations. It didn’t take long to confirm it.

Every bite became hard-earned, and every fish required patience, persistence, and a lot of work.

Looking back, it’s moments like this that define what we do. Fishing is never just about numbers, it’s about connection, teamwork, and helping someone achieve something truly special.

Warm temperatures welcomed us on our third trip of the season, along with a favorable current that set the tone early. Our new guests from Thailand, joined by one angler from Germany, formed a truly unique and memorable group, bringing great energy and plenty of special moments out on the water.

Early in the trip, we lost more than 11 fish and mostly landed smaller ones. Bites didn’t come easily, and our guests had to put in real effort to make things happen.

For any guide or host, the wish list for a good season is simple: great guests and great fishing. This Djibouti season offered all of that, and then some. The final group of the season arrived like the cherry on top of an already spectacular cake.

The second week of our Djibouti Autumn Season didn’t disappoint. It matched the excitement of the first week, though with slightly less shore action.

With over 160 GTs landed between Socotra and Djibouti this week alone, Wild Sea Expedition proudly stands at the forefront of the global GT fishing scene.

It was another week of persistence and reward, with plenty of high points to reflect on, and a reminder that in Djibouti, you always have to be ready for that next big catch.
